Pepe's in Yorkville is fantastic!! Papi and his family treat my family like we're...well, family! The food is great, of course, and they pass out tequila while the food gets prepared. Had a fantastic time and I'm still full even an hour afterwards. Can't wait to go back!

The food was actually bomb, I ate 5 tacos and still wanted more (I'm fat, most people would be full). The hostess was so funny with my group, and she made the time so much more fun. Thanks for dealing with my crazy young cousins!
I love all the Pepe's locations, but this one is special for me. There is a definite family feel to the place, and the food is fantastic. The staff is friendly & attentive, and always goes the extra distance to make their customers feel at home. If you're in the Yorkville area and wanting good Mexican food, you should definitely consider stopping in at Pepe's! UPDATE: I just need to say again how much the folks at Pepe's make you feel like family. We've gone through some difficult times lately, and when we stopped in for dinner yesterday we were met with the same giant smile and welcome everyone gets. My wife was overwhelmed because our daughter, who recently passed, loved Pepe's so much because they always got her (very picky) order right and the people are always so friendly. The whole family at Pepe's gathered around us and consoled us and really made us feel the reality that they care about who we are. At the same time, they care about the other folks in the restaurant as well. They take the time to know their customers and really make you feel important to them. All of that AND excellent food! There is no reason to go anywhere else for Mexican food.
This place was wildly beyond our expectations!!! They slayed it!! From the margaritas to the carne asada to the owners walking around with real little tequila shots for people to try.... Totally impressed!! Will definitely come back soon!! Thank you! -Paul and Kim
